I am running for City Council to relieve traffic congestion and create transportation choices, to provide our firefighters and police officers with the people, equipment and facilities necessary to protect our citizens and to enable residential and employment growth in a manner that is both economically viable and environmentally sustainable.

I’m pleased to hear that Kevin Wallace is applying for a position on the Bellevue City Council.  I believe strongly that it’s important that our community leaders reflect critical community values including integrity and service.  Kevin represents both to me.

I am the Executive Director for Medical Teams International and have worked closely with constituents in this community for 12 years.  During this time, it has been community leaders who have gone out of their way on their own time to volunteer to help Medical Teams International that have made us successful.  Kevin is one such leader.  There have been a number of times where we have had to negotiate commercial leases and, as a small nonprofit with no legal staff or real-estate expertise on board, Kevin has volunteered his time to help us understand and review these agreements in order to protect our organization.

We’ve really appreciated Kevin’s helpful spirit in using his expertise in this way.  We wish him the best of luck in his bid for this important position.
